Mission Accomplished!

hello again,
sorry I was cut short yesterday, but I will now finish reporting about our trip.

Thursday: Most people would agree with me that this was the best "working day." Why? Because it was only half a day! Therefore, we split into our new groups, worked tediously till noon, went back to camp to decide upon a game plan, then headed off to the beach! It was a little over a hour drive to get to a nice beach by the Gulf, but we decided we were willing to make the trip. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the beach, even Todd. Observers could probably tell we were rookies at the whole beach thing by the way were jumped in every wave that came our way and got pulled under multiple times, but the humiliation was way worth the fun!!

Friday: Again, we rolled out of bed around six, exhausted and slightly burnt, but we went to work all the same; determined to finish the work we had begun. And we did! By noon both houses had finished their jobs and more. So we came home, helped Sam (our awesome camp manager) clean out some pods for the next group, and took a nice long nap in the church! Which catches me up to now.

Tomorrow we plan on leaving bright and early and heading out to Schlitterbahn!! Can't wait to see you all!

Hello Again!

Again, I'm sorry my blogging hasn't been constant, we've just been sooo busy.

Tuesday night we had a birthday celebration for Camron! She turned the big SIXTEEN! Todd was kind enough to buy her a personalized cake. She was completely surprised when the lights went our and her cake and candles were brought in. It was great!

Wednesday: Wednesday was AWESOME for the painting crew because it took all morning to find us a new job! Therefore, we woke up at six, ate breakfast, sat around till about eight hoping we would find a new job, wished the tile workers fare well, and then went into the airconditioned church and took a nice two hour nap. Like I said, it was AWESOME!!! We were soon assigned to a new house not to far from our last one. At this house we were told to caulk and paint. So we did. As for the tile workers, they were a little jealous of our morning off, but they finished tiling the bathroom floor!!!

okay... I hate to call this short, but we are about to start group devotion and el capitaino (Charity) would not like me to miss! I'll write soon! We miss all of you!!!

howdy from Texas!

Dear long lost church family,
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write, things have been pretty busy. But since it has taken me so long I will give you a day by day update!
Saturday: the ride went well and The Colony church was sooooo kind! We went to the lake for the Fourth celebration and had an awesome time. The fire works alone made the six hour trip well worth while (Headrick family, i wouldn't mind returning next year to that lake...hint hint).

Sunday: the church service was very good (of course not as good as yours Pastor Deborah ;) ). We joined the rest of the congregation in "The Call2Fall". It was a great experience. We loaded the van (with about 2 dozen amazing doughnuts) and headed out. Finally, we arrived at Port Neches about 8:00.

Monday: Camron/Cam-wow and I were the lucky ducks who were assigned breakfast duty. We woke up at five-thirty, and fixed eggs and sausage for thirty people (our Logos cooks would be sooo proud!) One word explains monday.... HOT. We thought it was smoldering, but in all realization, it could have been waaaaay worse! We found out that the family we were helping has a sixteen year old soon with cerebral aoudfiowh (fill in the bank because I can't even pronounce that word much less try to spell it.) Anyways, he is severly handicapped. Our assigned jobs were to tile the floor, paint, and general clean up. We began our manual labor.

Tuesday: It is Cam-wow's birthday!!! And in celebration of that, God made the weather perfect! It was cloudy the entire working day, and it even rained.... POURED. The painting crew (myself, Kelly, Cam-wow, and Tracy) finished thier job! The tile crew (Chris, Charity, and Colter) also got A LOT accomplished.

Well, that catches me up to right now. We love you and miss you all. Thanks to those who have written us letters, they really brighten our day. And thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!
